Landcrafting is a non-hierarchical, self-directed path. But it can feel good to have a to do list. Here are some Lessons to get started in Landcraft.
Landcrafting is an immanent mystery tradition. There will always be a limit to what you can teach. These are the sorts of activities which, by doing them, will take you closer to the Powers. At some point you'll make contact, or you won't. But don't underestimate what you do. A walk in nature is never just a walk. We don't have official degrees or titles, because the Powers play favourites and no amount of human initiation or learning can really quantify how experienced you are.
You can read these all at once; or do them once per week; whatever floats your boat.
1. Discover Your Witchself
Your Witchself is essentially an imaginary image of An Awesome Witch in your head, yourself as you would like to be, an image of power you project. Our first step in ritual is always "becoming" this person.
2. Some Daily and Weekly Work
Doing this shit limbers your magical muscles up - it's the equivalent of stretching.
3. The Weekly Walk
We focus on local animism: local spirits, local nature, local myths and traditions. The Weekly Walk is our equivalent of "and on Sunday we go to church".
4. The Power of the Sun and Moon
We time our regular ritualwork by the moon, and our major festivals by the sun. Here is the symbolism we hold in mind.
5. The High Days
We observe 8 festivals across the year, representing the waning and waxing of our mighty Powers, and the shifts of nature around us.
Once you are regularly walking, taking time to sit with nature around you, observing the seasonal shifts and feelin the land under your feet and your skin - its time to get witchy!
6. Joining the Coven
We are a solitary tradition, where each member walks in the retinue of a mighty spirit coven.
